Raptors Soccer Looks to The Playoffs
April 27, 2017
This week is the playoff seeding meeting for the boys and girls Varsity Soccer teams. Both teams are looking to clinch the number one seed to make their run to the state finals as smooth as possible. While both teams have had very strong seasons, they are looking to make deep playoff runs and hopefully each will clinch state titles. However, the road for both teams will not be a walk in the park. The girls will most likely have to face a strong and bitter rival Christ Church again in the state finals. The boys will be forced to go through a few region opponents in either Woodland or North Charleston. The last time the boys team played North Charleston it was a heated game and ended in a small 4-1 scoreline. This game was very intense and ended in a very tense fashion. On the other hand there is Woodland; they played the Raptors and lost by a result of 7-0 with a great showing of talent from your men’s team. Needless to say, both teams are clawing for a chance to fire back at the Raptors and show that they belong in the playoffs. Regardless of who the opponents are, the playoffs will be a very entertaining and an intense series of games and everyone should come out to support their boys and girls teams. If your men’s and women’s teams are able to clinch state titles, it will be their 3rd state title in four years. This would be a huge accomplishment for the seniors and you can be sure they will be looking to claim that title.
