Cool Kids of Magnet
Early last week, a Twitter account materialized titled “CoolKidsofMagnet” (@MagnetCoolKids), and began sending out encouraging messages, first to the class of 2017, and later branching out to underclassmen and teachers. The account has provided a ray of positivity during midterm week, giving shout outs to everyone from Grace Ford-Dirks to Capers Borders.
The halls of Magnet have been buzzing with one question: Who is the mastermind behind this account? The students who have recieved tweets come from all different social groups, with no obvious trend appearing. The account holder is assumed to be a senior, with the majority of tweets aimed towards members of this year’s graduating class.
Many people believe that Sarah Feingold is responsible, while others think that both Sarah and Tom are working as a team. There are some accounts of tweets being sent out while witnesses were with Sarah Feingold, making it impossible for her to be the sole administrator of the account. Ms. Feingold is also sans smartphone, which would require her to send tweets out soley from her computer.
The most recent tweet, which reads “Capers Borders has great hair, and makes Spanish 4 class 5000% mas interesante. #GraciasAlCapurra #Chevere!!!” leads many to believe that the administrator of the account is in Capers’s Spanish class. According to Borders, Tom Feingold is in his class. This further backs up the theory that Tom and Sarah are a team in this venture.
Regardless of the mastermind behind @MagnetCoolKids, the account has done a great deal to uplift the student body in our time of stress.
