Hello fellow Academic Magnet students!  To those of you thinking, “Yes! Of course I want an ice cream party and pizza party!”, I have good news.  You can help your focus class win an ice cream or pizza party by donating to this year’s AMHS food drive.  Bring in your cans between November 7th – November 18th and give them to your focus teacher.  At the end, student council will donate the cans to the Low-Country Food Bank– an organization working to end hunger in Charleston, SC.  The focus class who collects the most cans in the school will win a pizza party.  In order to win the ice cream party, your focus must collect a minimum of 75 cans.  After meeting this requirement, the class may then come together to build a sculpture that will be reviewed by a panel of judges.  The focus class with the most creative can sculpture will win a free ice cream party.  The sculptures will be reviewed November 17th during lunch.  Best of luck!
