Journey to the Land Down Under
The land down under: Caves of glow worms, incredible natural landscapes, kangaroos, koala bears, colorful marine life, and more. This June, students at Academic Magnet are offered the unique chance to embark on a 14 day adventure through New Zealand and Australia in. New Zealand has some of the worlds most incredible landscapes; from ancient caves, to it’s infamous rolling hills and mountains. Australia harbors the greatest reef in the world with an unparalleled variety of marine life and land organisms. These are two places that you don’t want to miss and prove themselves some of the most unique and diverse locations in the world. Here is a brief itinerary of what you can expect if you decide to embark on this incredible journey!
Day 1 and 2: Fly to New Zealand and cross the international date line.
Day 3: Arrive in Aukland and visit Whakarewarewa: a geothermal hot spot of bubbling geysers and springs.
Day 4: Take a skyline gondola tour where you will see the infamous glow worm caves.
Day 5: Enjoy Aukland on your own and see the Agrodome.
Day 6: Travel to Sydney, Australia.
Day 7: Visit the Wildlife Sydney Zoo, the Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach and more!
Day 8: A day on your own to explore Sydney!
Day 9: Travel to Cairns, Australia.
Day 10: Snorkel, swim and enjoy a glass bottom boat tour of the Great Barrier Reef. This is bound to be an experience you won’t forget.
Day 11: Enjoy Cairns on your own!
Day 12: Fly to Honolulu, Hawaii and take a tour of the city.
Day 13: Visit the Dole Pineapple Plantation and Waimea Valley.
Day 14: Return home.
