Why Honest Politicians Are Going Extinct
November 3, 2016
Hillary Clinton had this election in the bag. In the New York Times Poll a week ago, she had a 90% chance of winning the election. But then came another scandal. More emails surfaced and Donna Brazille confessed to leaking debate questions to Hillary’s campaign. Now Trump’s numbers are climbing higher. This presidential campaign is a mess. In my opinion, we have a sexual abuser running against a pathological liar. It seems as if the only way for politicians to get ahead is to lie and cheat their way into a victory.
According to PoliticsUSA, Trump lied about every 50 seconds during each of the debates, but his loyal followers still believed him. It seemed as if no one cared that he lied; Trump accused fact check websites as “being liberal”, when in fact they were just displaying the truth. But Hillary is not much better. She STILL hasn’t told the whole truth about her email scandal; I thought that by the age of 69 she would know better. Even though her email scandal is completely overplayed, I wish she had come out with the truth sooner. Also, the fact that Bill Clinton met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch soon before Hillary’s investigation was concluded is quite concerning.
Trump accuses Clinton (the secretary of state, former first lady, senator, and lawyer) of “not being qualified for president”. But in my view, someone who has been taking advantage of the American people for decades, using devious methods to make a fortune, is the real unqualified candidate.
Either Trump or Clinton will be the president, which makes me sick to my stomach.
