Academic Magnet Teams Up with the Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House Junior Board is a community service opportunity available to high school juniors and seniors in the Low Country.
Students who are accepted to be a part of the board, meet monthly to discuss business and leadership qualities. Also, a major component of student’s time on the board, is the requirement to complete a community service project for the Ronald McDonald House, here in Charleston. Students are placed in groups and are given $500.00 to come up with a fundraiser of their choice.
This year’s Junior Board is comprised of about 35 kids-nearly a third of them being students from Magnet.
