Some people say that a man is not able to cook dinner, do the laundry, take the children to school, run errands, and clean the house, but come on; its 2016 and stay at home dads are becoming even more commonplace.  Stay at home dads are not only capable of completing these tasks, but they also complete them very well.  The increase in the number of stay at home dads has been caused by the bad economy and loss of jobs.  In addition, studies have shown that children enjoy being with their fathers more.  The fathers spend more time with the children and give them more opportunities to do fun things.

Since 1989 the number of stay at home dads has risen from 1.1 million to well over 2 million dads.  Men have proved to be able to handle the responsibilities of taking care of children and doing tasks around the house.  Men should be able to pursue the life that they want whether it is going out and working or completing the necessary tasks at the house.

Someone has to take care of children and keep things in order, so why can’t it be a dad.  Don’t try to hate on the stay-at-home dads of this day and age.  They have taken a lot of criticism lately, but this is unfair.  The husband and wife have agreed on something that makes them live comfortably and if this means a dad at home, then this should be acceptable.  By having a parent around the house, the children are able to receive the attention they need.  On top of this, the dads at home can take care the family’s finances and pay bills.  A stay at home dad can take a family and their kids to a whole new level.

Don’t worry I will be the next legendary stay-at-home dad who will be able to run a house like no tomorrow.  I’m a master at laundry and have been called the Iron Chef.  I’m pretty sure I’m prepared to take the skills of a stay-at-home dad to the next level.  Stay-at-home dads need support and show what they are capable…This will start the rise of the stay-at-home dad.
