Adriana Carter
Hi, my name is Adriana Carter and I’m a senior. Anyone who knows me can tell you about how passionate I am about creative writing. I enjoy spending my free time writing poetry as well as stories and personal essays. My writing has been recognized nationally by the Scholastic Art and Writing awards, and my poetry is also forthcoming in the next issue of Polyphony – an international high school literary journal that I am also an editor for. Recently, I got the opportunity to participate in The Adroit Journal’s prestigious summer mentorship program for poetry. In this program, I got to learn a lot about writing poetry from my talented peers and my mentor Rachel Mennies, an accomplished poet. When not writing, I can most likely be found on an airplane traveling to my next adventure. Or at least dreaming about it.
