Raptors Place in QUEST

The annual QUEST competition took place this past weekend. QUEST is an academic competition for middle schools and high schools in the Charleston area. It is an all day event that takes place at Trident Technical College. This year, AMHS placed in several competitions.

In Level III (Grades 9-10),  John Staubes, Jenny Yao, and Brett Schlesinger took 1st place in the Mathematics competition. In the Social Studies competition the Magnet team took 3rd place. Participants were Chloe Belton, Sara Moussa, and Charlotte Lucas.  In this level, Magnet tied for second place overall!

In Level IV (Grade 11-12), Xiaolan You, Vaibhav Mohanty, and Sloan Nietert placed 1st in the Mathematics competition. Zach Zuber, Peter Sterckx, and Jameson Sanders took 2nd place in the Science competition. Timothy Corder, Keaton Smith, and Elliot Kronsberg won 1st place in the Social Studies competition. The Raptors took 1st place overall in this level!

In the special competitions (Grades 9-12), Zach Bodek, Mason Salisbury, and Ben Holmes won 1st place in the Computer Programming competition. In the French I competition, Haywood White took 1st place and Brennan Kosut took 3rd place. Helena Upshaw placed 1st in the French II competition. Anna Tavormina won 1st place in the Spanish I competition and Zachary Kronsberg won 1st place in the Spanish II competition.
