Despite concern over the Covid-19 virus, the volleyball season has been approved to continue and they are making the most of it. 5 games into the season, the Raptors volleyball team has a record of 4-1, with their only loss coming from a close 3-1 loss to rival Bishop England. This record is especially impressive considering the circumstances. The team is required to wear masks throughout the entire warm-up and even when sitting on the bench during the match. Despite these concerns, Senior MK Kerrigan believes this team has what it takes to win a championship.
Players start practice at 4 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and have matches on Tuesdays and Thursdays This year due to the limited number of spectators allowed in person they are streaming their games live on Facebook for families and fans to watch.

In interviewing Evie Otis, a senior captain of the volleyball team, I gained an insight into the tight knit culture the team shares:
When asked about the teams pre-match tradition, Evie exclaimed “We have a phrase we say, but it’s secret.” Truly great insight into the closely held traditions of the team.
Furthermore, when questioned on where the team gets food prior to a big match, Evie enthusiastically responded “our parents bring us food.”
This team has a lot of potential and it is clear that they are poised for a championship run. Watch out for their senior night, coming October 6th when they play Hanahanagain
