I had just entered the school.  Everything was in order.  Because it was so early in the morning the hallways were not yet filled with the usual bustle 650  students. The smell was as usual undetectable.

Place: Senior Lounge

Fellow senior Lidia Dipaolo had arrived at school and entered the senior lounge.  She asked “Did anyone smell a natural gas smell?” to which fellow senior Conor Pizii replied stating he had also detected a repugnant odor while entering the school. I still had not found any evidence of a smell or source of a smell; the rest of the day I only heard whispers of the smel,l but no real substantial buzz surrounding the stink.

As I walked into school on this dreary Wednesday morning, I opened the door and my nose was annihilated by a horrible stench.  I continued on into the school.  With each step deeper into the educational institution, the sewage-esque perfume became more and more dense.  Instead of subdued whispers, everyone was talking, complaining of the nasty smell.  I was determined to get to the bottom of the stench.

All yesterday the smell persisted through the day.  And again as soon as I entered, the stench hit me.  What was this sulfuric smell? No one seemed to know.

I opened the doors to the school and braced for the stench.  I took one precarious breath.  I expected an eye-watering foul aroma but instead was greeted with a more pleasant odor: nothing.  Just as suddenly as the smell appeared, it was gone.  If anyone has any information on the smell he or she is encouraged to contact the janitorial staff.
