2nd Annual Buff Puff Tournament

On Tuesday, December 6th the second annual Buff Puff tournament was held at AMHS. This year $2,200 was raised to support YES club and the Save the Children Fund. There were 3 preliminary games and each match lasted eight minutes. Digs out for Harambe faced off against a sophomore team to advance to the championship. Spikes Hard defeated the sole freshmen team and went on to play for the title. After eight minutes of intense play, Digs out for Harambe, which included Nate LeRoy, Capers Borders, João Da Costa, Ethan Linhart, Aaron Thornton, Beckham Watkins, Garrett Smith, and Evan Dockery came out on top 14-8. They then went on to play against the state runner up girls varsity team and were obviously defeated! The runners up faced off against a faculty team of Mr. Eicher, Ms. Novinger, Ms. Langley, Mrs. Eicher, Mrs. Yackey, Coach Williams, and Mr. Percy. The teachers managed to score a few points, but Spikes Harder came to win. All in all, it was a fun way to rally the school around a great cause! Congratulations to all the teams!
