Join The Gardening Club—Eat Dirt!

Educate. Cultivate. Satiate.

The Club Fair is currently taking place and it can be difficult to decide which clubs to join because Magnet offers such a variety of clubs from Asian Awareness to Young Overzealous Ladies Order of Engineers. Although these clubs may be fun, the superior club is Eat Dirt. Eat Dirt is a gardening club that takes place in the garden behind the school cafeteria. The club meets a couple times a month after school in the garden. We grow an array of crops such as radishes, kale, carrots, and beans. The members of Eat Dirt get to take home all of the harvested produce and enjoy the yummy veggies with the satisfaction of knowing that they grew them themselves. This club is super fun and everyone should join! Even if you do not have a current interest in gardening or if you do not have any knowledge of gardening you should still join. This is a great opportunity to learn about gardening while having lots of fun! If you have any questions feel free to ask seniors Margaret Gibson or Riley Haldrup. Look out for Eat Dirt at the club fair on Friday!
